A 234-unit mobile-home park on Route 146 is being used as collateral by a parent company with an eye towards expansion.
United Mobile Homes of New York Inc. of Eatontown, N.J. - which owns the 42-acre D&R Village Mobile Home Park - borrowed $1.9 million from the First Nationwide Bank Federal Savings Bank of Sacramento, Ca., on Aug. 14.
Fred Sanders, a loan officer with Monmouth Corp. - a subsidiary of United - did not know specifically what the money was going to be used for, but said it might be used for the acquisition of additional properties.
