WA: Man rescued after treading water for hours in rough seas

PERTH, Jan 2 AAP - A 60-year-old man spent almost four hours treading water in rough
seas off Rottnest Island after a boating mishap.
The man had been travelling to Katherine Bay, on the island's north coast, when he
fell from his boat about 6.30pm (WST) yesterday.
The boat continued on and was eventually stopped after a holidaymaker on a passing
boat became concerned.
Perth resident James Muhling, 35, said he gave chase to the runaway boat after realising
it was unmanned when he passed nearby about 8pm …
